Sarkodie turns heat on Ghanaian media pundits; Shatta Wale throws weight behind him!

The one-tine he criticised the media, all hell has broken loose on him!

He speaks his mind this one time and it’s the agenda for the day! Sarkodie has gotten off the wrong foot with the Ghanaian media following a recent interview with social media influencer & fashion critic Firestick.

Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, aka Sarkodie has berated the Ghanaian media landscape over their numerous complaints and the insensitive comments they usually pass about Ghanaian entertainers.

In an interview with the social media sensation, Firestick, Sarkodie stated that the personalities within the Ghanaian media landscape have no moral right to criticize Ghanaian musicians or instruct them on what they have to do with their music brands.

Sarkodie further said that it is very easy for Ghanaian media personalities and entertainment pundits to insensitively criticize musicians because they have no idea the nature of their works as entertainers.

He said that until Ghanaian media personalities have bettered or attained the standards of world media platforms like the BBC, they have no moral right to criticize Ghanaian musicians.

The rapper went on to say that the Ghanaian media landscape and all the stakeholders in the music industry need to raise their standards to the international level before they will be given the mandate to berate artistes.

He mentioned that the likes of the late BBC presenter, Komla Dumor used their influence and their positions on the platform to effect their career by granting them interviews on the platform and Ghanaian media icons need to perfect their platforms to that limit.

In light of this, Controversial Ghanaian dancehall crooner, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., well known as Shatta Wale has thrown his weight behind his colleague.

Shatta Wale showered praises on the rapper over his sentiments. Shatta Wale in a live video said that Sarkodie has hit the nail on the head and would side with him that no Ghanaian radio personality should talk about any Ghanaian artiste.

He said that no Ghanaian radio personality has an idea about how Ghanaian musicians struggle to pen down their music or record their songs, hence they have no moral right to criticize their music or make any utterances about their personality.
